2008-08-20 01:03:51 Holy crap, thats hot!

So i just installed this little app for checking the status on my computers internal organs and it turns out that the processor is like 90 freaking degrees (Celsius, and that would be around 180-190 Fahrenheit) hot when the computer is just idle. That sounds bad imo. Also the fan is spinning at around 2100rpm, is that bad? What should i do to fix this? Should i buy a new fan, buy another fan or just suck all the dust out of there? It's a intel core 2 duo by the way, if that has any bearing on the case.

So i went in there and vacuumed out all the dust and now i get between 40 and 50 centigrade while browsing...still seems a little high, no?

Lebato: No i'm using PC Probe 2 (got it on a cd with the motherboard). But hey, if 40-50 degrees is a-okay then i'm just happy that it wasn't harder to solve.
