Hey guys, so im at a friends campus, and wifi works through a VPN server..
Browsing works fine, BUT, impossible to download anything or stream, is that normal with vpn?
Thanks for the help, 1st time i ever use a vpn server...

Uh.....it could be an access list restriction. Basically, for security, bandwidth, etc etc, organizations can set up an access list on their router(s) that permits or denies certain access depending on where you are coming from and what you are trying to do.

Access lists can also work on a protocol basis, so it makes sense they would allow web surfing but nothing more bandwidth-intensive such as downloading and streaming.

OR

Make sure it isn't just you, and make sure your browser can do it outside of this network you are using right now.
